Mid-February 2022 Update ^_^

Happy Valentine's Day! 💘

Whether you're spending the day with your partner in crime or counting down to Discount Candy Day, hope the day has been wonderful to you! 🙌

Update from the Business Side:

This has been one of those months where it feels like I've accomplished nothing. Maybe it's just because I haven't been able to sit down and mess with music as much, so my creative side has been smothered. The good news is that, on the business front, I continue to make progress.

For instance, in the past couple of weeks I have:

  • Opened a business checking account.
  • Applied for a business credit card (just wow on this process 😂 so. much. paperwork. to. submit.)
  • Had a meeting with an accounting company to discuss using their services moving forward.

Believe! (From the Music Artist Side):

I sat down last night and journaled for a moment.

Journaling is one of those things that helps keep me sane. Writing really does help clean my soul out so to speak so when I get a moment, I try to make sure I take a little quiet time for myself.

I was journaling because I have been so on the fence the past couple of weeks about how to move forward with promoting Just Your Frequency.

From a business perspective, I am most familiar with working as a DJ. Past musician/artist efforts haven't exactly gone far for one reason or another.

  • I've had confidence issues with myself and my work.
  • I've cared way too much about what others thought.
  • I've spent wayyy too much time being analytical to ensure each step forward is made with surgical precision.
  • Yep, at times I am my own worst enemy.

However, I vowed to be different this time! So when I sat down to journal I asked myself...what do I want to do?

I took a moment to write my thoughts to the page and it was pretty clear: I wanted to start blazing a new path as a music artist with the ability to DJ local gigs from time to time.

And that's what I'm going to do! 😄 I came up with a few action goals for the week and now it's up to me -- go do it!
