Hello there -- Glennjamin swingin' in with an update!
I've been working like mad to get my song "Don't Know What to Say" up to par to finally post to other streaming platforms.
The producer I met with recently (Dan), was kind enough to provide me some feedback on my song "Don't Know What to Say". His comments gave me some great insights and I took that and dove back into the studio for a few days and I believe I've gotten it right (or at least enough to feel more at peace about moving on).
- Previously, I was already set on releasing the track, but his insights made me step back for a moment and say...I can do this a little better and a little may go a long way...even with my first track being released.
One thing I hammered down on was that I wasn't going to let production value keep me from moving forward and although I know it's not a perfect track (compared to top 40s radio), I do feel confident that this song is going to be the catalyst to start pushing me forward with releasing songs.
One thing I even did was entered my song into a contest for artistry and songwriting quality on Cari Cole's Vocal and Music Co website. Regardless of the outcome, I did it and that's something I've always hung my hat on -- doing something versus always talking about it.
Now I'm heading over to submit my work to my distributor (DistroKid) and I'll have an official release date set soon.
Here's to the future and us getting closer to where we wanna be each day!
