A Brand New Start

Hi there!

Welcome to the first blog post 🍻

This is my first attempt at launching a webpage for my music project -- Just Your Frequency :8^)

A little background about me:

  • I'm Glenn, some folks call me Glennjamin, and I've been writing and playing music since I was the ripe age of 16. 🤘

  • I got my start in a garage band as a singer. I had a knack for writing and a decent singing voice, plus my cousin said I was going to sing so...that's how I got my start. 😎

  • Toward the end of high school, life started to happen and the garage band I was in fell apart. I tried to keep going with a couple of bandmates but that eventually fell apart and, outside of some jam sessions here and there, I've been drifting ever since. 🤠

  • Outside of recording a live demo with my first band, I haven't put out really any music since my teen years 😞 so basically I've been writing and recording rough demos of songs I really liked for almost 10 years.

In late 2020, I began to feel the urge to go after what I wanted which was to write and release music. I started investing in some recording equipment and finally got some gear to make it happen.

I started recording some older demo tracks and...I was big into Pop-punk music like Blink-182, Bowling for Soup, and just writing Pop-Punk songs...I spent almost a year working on those demo songs only to decide for now to shelf them.

My new interest was in creating and writing electronic songs which is how my new project, Just Your Frequency, came to be.

I am excited about this new era! And though I'd love to go back and release those demos at some point just to show the building blocks to this stage, I'm motivated.

For instance, just this week I formed my own soon-to-be LLC so I could take care of the business aspects of my music and it's got me all kinds of pumped because I finally did it...I took the steps to start turning this dream into a reality.

Thanks for reading this far and whether you are the first reader, fan, etc, I appreciate your time!

🤠 Glennjamin 🎹
